Shopping and buying products online ahs become a popular way to get the items you are looking for. As online commerce is growing everyday it means there is more chance for fraud and scams.

We all want to do things the fast and easy way but want to ensure the products we are buying online are genuine and we are getting what we pay for. We are also sceptical about our payment methods and want to ensure our personal bank details aren’t being used for unlawful purposes.

Paypal is the payment option used by the online auction site eBay. Paypal is a payment provider that has been around for a while and is one that seems to work well in an online environment. But as it is so popular it has been easy for scammers and hackers to read personal financial information from your account.

You should always make sure you enter your paypal account from the paypal website to ensure it is only you that can login. Clicking on links in an email may divert you to another website that is not paypal. Some scammers will send fake emails from paypal telling you to log onto a link to their site. So you should ensure it is only you who types in the login and password from the official paypal site.
